* * A beautiful scrappy weekend * *

I have been spolit over the last week. No sooner had I unpacked my bags from New York I was re-packing them again to go and hang out with some of the most awesome people I know.

These girls...Sally, Katherine, Leanne, Rachel, Katy, SJ, Shim and Natalie

We took off for a weekend of scrapping in the countryside. We hire the cutest little cabin, we push the dining tables together and we sit and chat and scrap until the early hours.

It really is the most delighful escape and the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends from all over the country. We talk paper and ribbon and movies and photos and family and holidays and well. pretty much anything and everything really.

We laugh and we giggle a lot.
This is about the fourth time we have got together to do this over the last couple of years and everytime we try to have a mini photoshoot amongst ourselves and each time we try to make the group shoots look a little bit different.

This time we embraced technology and embraced the delight of the camera phone....

With glorious results I think!

Though the practicalities of getting such a shot were hilarious. Firstly... all but one of us had an iphone... so one of us has been photoshop'ed in.... I don't think that matters though.

Though trying to make sure that all the phones were "lit up" at the same time and for long enough to get a photograph without too much glare was more difficult. Whilst SJ and Shim are doing their best to grab the shot on their cameras, the rest of us are hoovering above the phones constantly touching the screens to bring them back to life, and stop them going dark.

I love the final result though!

We also all took a photo like this...

One by one, with the same background, we shuffled along, holding hands... so that when all the photos are stacked together....

It's the cutest row of paper/photo dolls!

I can't wait to get these printed as I think that they would make the coolest scrapping page... pehaps printed wallet size and spread out over a double page spread.

We even made sure that it was a continous circle so each person was photographed holding two people's hands. This means that any one of us could re-arrange the photo strip so that we were in the middle. Or spread out in a circle they would all connect.

Except to see all of the above on a bunch of blogs and pages soon!
