This little girl is certainly keeping me on my toes. We have settled into a good routine that seems to be working for us and she is sleeping well at night and for that I'm thankful! Though if anyone has any tips on how I can convince her to nap in her cot in the day I would be most grateful!
She sleeps in her cot wonderfully at night but not in the day! She much prefers to nap in my arms or in her pram!

I'm so excited for Christmas this year, it all seems extra special with a small person in the house! Not that she has any idea that it's Christmas! We have bought her a couple of token gifts but nothing crazy, I just know she is going to be spoilt rotten but her grandparents so we have kept her gifts simple and bought more commemorative "first Christmas" things!
I am keeping up to date with my Christmas journal, that is now a combo of December Daily and Journal your Christmas! I tend to scrap for an hour or so after the baby has gone to bed, the light is not very good then but I will endeavour to take some pics of my progress so far in the day time!

Yesterday we took these Santa hat pics. At 11 weeks she has just started to hold her head up and if I lie her on her tummy she can hold herself up for a few minutes! So my photoshoot was short and snappy! But I grabbed a couple of pics that I'm happy with! It appears the trick to photographing this baby is to pick a good moment, she was in a great mood throughout but I still didn't manage to actually capture a smile!

Can't wait to get these printed up and added to my Christmas journal.

So cute! Christmas is more exciting with a little one - but perhaps toddlers are a better age to appreciate it!
She is absolutely gorgeous. Her eyes are stunning.
I never used to put mine to bed in their cot during day. It was always their pram and they knew then that the cot was for night time. They got used to sleeping through noise and I never had a problem with bedtime. I don't know if that was because of only going in their cot at night or if I was just lucky. Everybody finds their own way though that works for them and their children.
Beautiful! My son is 7 months now and does sometimes have a sleep in the cot if we're staying at home but quite often he'll fall asleep in the pram on the way back from dropping his brother at playgroup and he also sleeps well in the car if we're on the way back from somewhere! She's only young still so go with the flow for now she'll adjust as she gets older! I used to let my eldest sleep in the bouncer in the daytime when he was that age!
What beautiful pictures. I love the first one, you can really see the smile in her eyes.
These are fab photos. looking forward to seeing your journal. xxx
there is a little smile from her in the middle photo :-)
Oh my, how adorable are those pictures! She is just yummy.
These are sooooo lovely - I think the first one's my favourite. She's a little sweetie :D
*sigh*
I would echo what kerry said, plus I would add that you must find your own way and if she is thriving and sleeping at night - job done! Merry Xmas!
Hi Laura,
What a sweet little baby you have, looks a lot like her daddy. Just a random question, I think you mentioned what storage boxes you used for you're 12x12 papers a while back? Or did I read it somewhere else? I think you said muji but not 100% sure.
Like you I'm on operation condense down craft stuff as due another baby in April and it's going to have my craft room, boo hoo! Hope you all have a lovely first Christmas together, x
